I had thought I'd already left a review, but my stay last year was so thoroughly enjoyable that I almost bought property nearby just to enjoy this magical place. Alas, life had other plans. Bill who runs the place seems to be a good man and I hope he sees this and is well. If you stay here, you're well taken care of. Good bathroom facilities, quiet neighbors, easy to get in and out of. I hope to come again someday.

We always stay at this RV Park when we’re visiting Bosque Del Apache Refuge. Billy, the older owner lives in the house that you see when you pull in the short drive. It is a small modest, quiet park with trains passing the other side of the road during the night (which we love), low prices with full hookups and Verizon cell service. No fancy website or reserved sites. Billy will make his rounds to check you in. It was cash or check when we last stayed there in 2024. Returning Dec 23, 2025. Good to leave your rig to be free to visit the refuge and return to a warm home especially winter traveling. BE SURE TO memorize the modest entry and mark on your maps app when you leave. Returning In the dark after watching the sunset flights of Sandhill Cranes, Snow Geese and wintering Ducks you W

Stayed one night and found the bathrooms to be clean and the RV park quiet. The host Billy is a kind, welcoming, and responsible man. When coming in at night, just know you have to drive 50-yards back to find the RV park.

It's gravel parking lot with one tree. Hookups worked fine. Bathrooms and shower were dirty when we arrived. Proprietor came over and handed us a form to fill out for registration and then told us the price was higher than shown on the form, because it was a typo. After I asked him if the bathroom and shower could be cleaned, he dropped the price to what was written on the form. And to his credit, he did clean the bathroom and shower. Quiet except that every few hours a train passed a couple hundred feet away. This woke us up in the night more than once.

It's permanently closed as of Oct 2025. Go to the RV place 1/2 mile north. It's run by former owner's uncle.
