Hannamon Bayou Campground

Stayed one day one night with the hope of kayaking from site. Water was too low too marshy so we took them over to Homestead knolls campground on the other side of the lake. (When at knolls, launch your kayaks at the beach opposite the boat ramps, don’t launch at the boat ramps). Back to Hannamon, very quiet and super peaceful. Quietest area at calamus for sure. We were visited at sunup by turkeys and geese foraging through the campsites. Only boat ramp there is roped off and closed due to the roadway collapsing. Outhouses are primitive and no showers. One shared water source for whole campground. We enjoyed our stay. I don’t understand why game and parks doesn’t give you the option of paying via card with their envelopes they have on site. (Bring 15.00 cash per night)

Very noisy generators running after 11 pm people with campers tying up 3 tent spots and only paying for one

Place is nice, check weather before you come.

The outhouse stank, hasn't been cleaned in a bit.
