Hampton Inn & Suites Swansboro Near Camp Lejeune

The hotel is in the middle of a much needed renovation. I stayed here because it was 3 miles from where I needed to be for work. The staff is exceptional. They are the nicest people. I came down at 10PM for my late nigh snack and low and behold someone was actually at the front desk. IHG .... take note of this. There are several reviews on here about mold and the rooms being dirty. Sorry! My room was clean and had no odors. The room looked like one that was older and is in need of some TLC. The matress was great. Parking is great. The wifi was great. The hallways could use some paint and new carpet but I am sure that is on the agenda for the remodel. I couldn't give this a 5 star because of the construction. When its done I will.

Recent last minute stay booked through 3rd party. When arriving at front desk, no record of our booking. Took 45 mins, a couple of phone calls with booking agency between us and Rhonda at the front desk to get resolved. Thank you to Rhonda for her kindness, empathy, helping us to check in for our stay, making the best of a frustrating situation and gave us some valuable insights into the area. Room was clean, good, quiet. Breakfast had everything we needed to start the day.

Positive: Room had plenty of space. And comfortable. Liked the desk in the Location and plenty of parking. Negative: 1 elevator not working. The working elevator was noisy. Ice machine not working. Juice machine out of order. Pool needed cleaning.

Jimmy was awesome. He is very professional kind and knowledgeable. I called the day before my check in to see if it was possible. He said he would do his best and call one before I arrived. I did that and Cassie said yes come and check in early Jimmy left a note for us. When I arrived so many stafwmrs greeted me said hello. Casios was great. Quick check in and she gave me some top spots to check out on my trip. Room was clean bed comfy

Had the pleasure of staying during some major remodeling work somewhere. The lovely sound of hammer drills waking us in the morning and keeping us alert in the afternoon. But the staff was nice enough to where it really didn't matter that much. Might complain next time just to see if I can get some free chocolate from the concierge, I might even hold out for a hershey's special dark bar...
