Hampton Inn & Suites San Clemente

Hotel is currently under construction. No pool, no spa, no dining room, no gym, and loud noises throughout the day. Breakfast is a bag of stuff thrown together because the dining room is closed. TV lost service day one and it never worked again thankful the room has another TV in the sitting are. Laundry facilities were not working. Washing machine worked but both dryers would not work so had to walk to the local laundry mat to dry my clothes. Not a good experience. This is my usual go to hotel when in town. Very disappointed.

We were disappointed in this hotel. It’s run down and tired. We had a one bedroom suite with a pull out and there were only 2 bath towels in the bathroom. There should have been at least 2 more. The ice machine was very close to our room and it was super noisy. It’s very close to the freeway and that was very noisy too. It was clean but old. Parking is ridiculous at $22 night. We won’t stay here again and I don’t recommend. It’s below Hilton standards.

Positive: The location and the breakfast Negative: Old, elevator lights did not work so you never knew what floor you were on and the elevator was beyond slow. The room was very large but dated. No regular coffee, only decaf in the rooms. Had to ask for more towels repeatedly. Parking was expensive

When booking this room there was a notification that the property was under renovation. No problem, I don’t mind a little dust and noise at appropriate hours. I have stayed several times in the past year at a Fairfield Inn (Marriott) under construction but they did a much better job at setting expectations. What I didn’t expect upon arrival was a good amount of parking taken up by construction materials and possibly construction vehicles. Additionally, when I checked in and inquired about breakfast I was informed that it would be available in the lobby as their dining area was under construction. My room was on the second floor, so I get in the elevator and press 2. Imagine my confusion when the second floor of the elevator is actually now the third floor. I wish the gentleman at the fro

If your AC doesn’t work and your hotel is under construction maybe just close down for that time or give the guest a heads up. Rooms are nice though. Update AC kinda works in new room but no shampoo or body wash in the shower.
