BEWARE! EXPECT ADDITIONAL CHARGES AT CHECK IN.|We booked a room through the Hilton app for Thanksgiving night at the Manchester, TN Hampton Inn. The online rate for the reservation was $149. I checked the box that I had pets and added the note that I had 2 dogs. There was no pet fee added to the reservation on the app total for the stay. |On Thanksgiving, when I arrived for my stay, the front desk agent, Mel, told me my total was $400. I said no - it’s $150. She then told me that they charge a $125 per pet fee for bringing pets on the premises. I pointed out that I had included them on the reservation and it wasn’t disclosed there and so I would like them to honor the reservation total I booked. She then proceeded to tell me that I could pay the fee or go find a different hotel. I asked if
No complaints! The room was clean and the breakfast was well stocked with eggs, biscuits and gravy, and waffles in addition to the standard continental fare. Only stayed one night so I didn't check out any the other amenities but it seems like a nice place to stay with a couple restaurants in walking distance. Edit: almost forgot to mention, the lady working in the breakfast area was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which was nice.
Pros: Clean Room and spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed an quiet location Cons: WIFI not strong. Problems connecting my computer. The scramble eggs tray was empty at 7:00 am. Coffee didn't taste good.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel on quite a few occasions and it has always been wonderful. That being said when we drove by on Monday night November 10 and inquired if they had any rooms and mentioned we had our little dog with us, the man behind the desk quoted us $264.00 for a queen room with a $150.00 fee for our dog plus a $50 non refundable deposit. I do understand that it is not everyone's desire to have dog's stay in hotel rooms. A polite we are not dog friendly would have been appreciated from this man instead of a blatant lie about the cost of rooms etc. Hampton Inns in many places have pet friendly rooms and it was head office when I called today who informed me that his hotel is only pet friendly for service dogs. Why didn't the employee tell us this instead of
The price is the worst thing. $246, after staying there I’d say a far price is maybe 100 bucks. Room 204 was not clean it was at best descent. The a/c didn’t work properly, I turned it down as low as possible and the temp never got below 71. Won’t be staying here again. I can stay at the holiday inn thats newer and cleaner for less money.
