Hampton Inn & Suites Hood River

My family and I came here to stay the night after going on the Mount Hood Railway's Polar Express Trip. The hotel is centrally located and it was easy to get to the train station from the hotel. It was easy to get to the downtown area from the hotel to explore Hood River a bit. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we had a view of the river in our connecting rooms. The front desk staff were friendly enough and efficient in their work as were the morning breakfast staff.

We had a great stay. Great location next to the river with places to eat and drink in easy walking distance.|The room was very comfortable well equipped.|Pool and fabulous temperature, nice and comfortable, same for the hot tub.|Great breakfast with plenty of choice, loved the 2 waffle flavours each day plus the evening cookies.|Staff were fantastic, a credit to the hotel, so friendly and welcoming, my daughter absolutely loved the little treats at breakfast like the snapband bracelet and squishy ball.|For places to eat we loved the Indian food truck and Solstice pizza. |Excellent stay.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Bathroom smelt like mold, tool them pver an hour to switch our room, we stay in the 1 in salem or all the time, and figured thos would be about tje same. It was terrible.

All in all, we really enjoyed the stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Hood River. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because we had some neighbors with kids next to us that kept stomping.. this is not the fault of the hotel but it did interfere with our peace. The reason why I did not say anything is because we also had our grandchild with us (and we tried to keep the noise down knowing how It felt). The beds were super comfortable, the indoor pool was nice and warm, although kind of small, and the breakfast had a good spread. We will definitely be staying here again..

Good experience here at Hood River. Rooms was good size. Clean and well maintained. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good range. Waffles! Hotel was within walking distance 10mins of downtown Hood River.
