Hampton Inn & Suites Glenarden/Washington DC

The rooms were clean and well-renovated, and the location was great. It was close to many stores and had easy highway access. I’ve stayed in a lot of old, dated hotels lately, so this was a refreshing change. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next road trip.

I stayed for 3 nights and would give it n average rating. The place was clean for the most part except the carpet in the hallway was filthy and the wallpaper in my room was peeling. It definitely felt like a motel. The customer service needs work. Once, went to purchase a snack from their store. There were two employees behind the desk. They both left and went in the back. I stood for over 5 mins waiting for one to return so I could make my purchase. If you see a guest about to make a purchase, why not have at least one person be at the front desk to ensure the guest is charged properly? Also, and most annoying, I asked the lady the day before about a late check out and she said it should not be a problem because the hotel was not full and I only needed to less than an hour longer. This hotel was amazing in a snow storm, I want to personally thank Robin for her amazing check in and all her help. She was very knowledgeable and very sweet. In a world where customer service isn’t what it used to be she definitely passed that test with flying colors, went above and beyond and was there for our family in our time of need and distress. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was hot and amazing. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful, I will stay here when I return again thank you Robin for all you do 5 STARS from Tennessee!!!

This hotel was a breath of fresh air. I feel like hotels in general have really gone downhill. That is NOT the case here. The two font desk staff members I spoke to were very kind and helpful. The room was clean-I get grossed out by hotel rooms easily, and I felt totally comfortable here the whole time. The property and area feels really safe, and the person who was setting up breakfast was very helpful regarding my dietary restrictions. Also probably the best fitness center I’ve seen at a hotel.

Positive: The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, they made an special occasion feel like being at home. We stayed an extra day because of it. Negative: Wish the had a shuttle that went to surrounding stores
