Hampton Inn Sikeston

The woman at the front desk who was in training was excellent. She was friendly, helpful, and provided great customer service, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience at this hotel was very disappointing due to the lack of cleanliness. I could maybe understand if things were messy late in the evening, but the next morning the public areas were still very dirty. The floors were sticky, and the overall lobby area looked unclean. At breakfast, I picked up a cup and started pouring orange juice when I noticed a mouth stain on the side of it. I took it to the hostess in the kitchen to show her, but the kitchen itself appeared quite dirty, and she was on her phone. As before, our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! The front desk staff and the cleaning staff we encountered were friendly and courteous. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold items, and the lady in charge of the breakfast room was super nice! We wished we could have stayed longer. 👍

Service was very good no complaints at all, just kudos for kindness, courteous and knowledgeable. The rooms cleanliness left a little to be desired. Peeling wallpaper in bath, shower and commode could use a good scrubbing. Hallways and room could use a good vacuuming.

Positive: the sliding glass door shower ,makes it easier for older people to g e t in and out. tha.nk you Negative: toilets could be a little higher

We were stranded in Matthew’s, MO after our rental stalled at Loves. We made a reservation online and waited almost an hour for an Uber. The staff was very accommodating to our situation and allowed us a late check-out. The manager (Matt) had one of his staff members to provide transportation the next morning to a car rental place, so we didn’t have to wait on an Uber. I was very impressed when one of the staff members called us after we checked out to let us know we left our television. What started as a terrible experience ended positively because of the professionalism and kindness this hotel provided!! We are forever grateful!!
