Hampton Inn Sidney

Room 204 has bedbugs… noticed them almost immediately upon getting in bed. Room also has a barely functioning shower and broken sink faucet. This is honestly on par with a motel 6; absolutely no way this should be considered a 3-star hotel. The front desk manager didn’t seem at all fazed by the bedbug issue but was quick to switch my room at least, as I couldn’t get to a different hotel that same night.

As a diamond member year after year, I have hundreds of Hampton experiences. I am simply leaving a review to aid future guests in knowing this Hampton is adequate, but it is certainly below the typical standards of a Hampton Inn. It is not major, just the reality of little subtle things. The lobby does not play music, it plays the "on hold recording" for phone calls. The hospitality person told me it has played this for years and no one fixes it. My TV did not work, was pulled out from the wall, and some of the wires were disconnected. There was a significant rip in the carpet in my room. The desk in the room had damage to it. The bathtub had chips and the tile grout is coming off. There were ripped sections of wall paper. We came up for an overnight stay while our Airstream was being fixed. It was first delayed a day, we had already checked out and needed another day, then the next day the weather was horrific and we wanted to stay another day and again we had already checked out. Called the front desk and they arranged where we could come back in that morning. They made it effortless and made us feel like valued customers. Shout outs to Brianna, Richard and Mack for making all of this possible! Thank you all!

Positive: Staff was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. Negative: Antiquated television. Had to have staff reset it 2 times for us to use it

We stayed here for a basketball tournament. The rooms were clean, the hotel had a nice breakfast and lobby setup that permitted our group to gather.
