Hampton Inn Morehead City

Location was great. Staff were all pleasant. The rooms, well let’s say I won’t be back as it smelled wet and it was well worn. Not my type of hotel. At least the cookies at check in were good.

Clean comfortable rooms. Nice continental breakfast. Stayed two nights. There was no maid service on our second day. No wake up call received on second day?|Overall, this was a pleasant stay. No vending machines on hotel room floors. Snacks available at front desk. Christian Tours arranged for hotel for group travel.

The blizzard of '26 finally hit the coast and the staff here did what they could to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The manager kept the walkways mostly cleared of snow overnight. I know when I went outside this morning, I pretty much had a clear path to my car. Chris at the breakfast area was courteous, friendly, and productive. Breakfast was popular this morning and Chris kept the food supplies full.

Overall the experience was quite nice. The room was good, bathroom good, tv and wifi good. The only thing lacking was I don’t think there was enough staff to handle the breakfast crowd. Seating was inadequate, food was out of stock, only one guy seemed to be trying to keep things in order, but he was overwhelmed. The coffee ran out. Milk ran out. Yogurt ran out. That was disappointing.

First things first the lady at the front desk was very helpful and sweet and didn’t seem the least bit surprised when I called down to tell her our room was nasty. Stains on the sheets plus hair and a lot of weird black fuzz. Food still in the fridge from the last people to stay in the room. The curtains were nasty with stains all over them.
