Hampton Inn McHenry

We got a room last minute. They were accommodating and the price was reasonable. Staff were friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast was impressive as far as what was available. Everything was fresh. Best hotel coffee I've ever had :)

Stay there for my daughter’s birthday. She loves it. We get two adjoining rooms so she has time with friends and mom has some privacy. Pool is small but adequate.

We came in this weekend for the memorial service of my uncle. The front desk manager Bob was so awesome. He was friendly, joked with us and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be coming back to that hotel if we are ever back in McHenry for anything. The rest of the hotel was good. Pool was warmer and clean, continental breakfast was fine and lobby was good size and very nice. But I will emphasize employees like Bob is what made our stay way more enjoyable! Thank you Bob and keep being so awesome and friendly!

We found the McHenry, Illinois Hampton Inn thru the Hilton.com site and were hesitant on driving from Twin Lakes, Wisconsin for the overnight, but found this hotel to be a great choice.|From check-in to check-out it was a wonderful experience. Leland and Bob at the front desk were helpful, friendly, considerate, polite and knowlegeable and always willing to offer assistance. I met the general manager, Steven Kroll, one day and complimented him and staff on the way the hotel was maintained. There was a consistent effort to attend to the details often overlooked in hotels; HVAC filter changes, painting, parking lot maintenance, organization of the snack area in the lobby, organization of the table and chairs in the breakfast area, etc., etc. DETAILS.|We enjoyed our stay and witnessing th

Positive: Location, location, location Negative: The room that we were in, 437, smelled very musty while we were there. We wiped some water off the floor from ice cubes, and the floor was notably, quite dirty and had not been cleaned with water in sometime.
