Hampton Inn Daytona Speedway-Airport

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Our first room had German cockroaches and smelled strongly of mold and mildew. I immediately reported it to the front desk, and we were moved to a second room — which also had German cockroaches. I contacted the front desk again, and the only solutions offered were to move us a third time or have the room sprayed. Not wanting to keep moving rooms and risk the same issue again, we chose to have the room sprayed. When staff came up, they claimed they didn’t see any roaches — despite the fact that we had already killed the ones we saw (and yes, I have photos of them). Anyone familiar with German cockroaches knows they spread quickly and are extremely difficult to eliminate. We then went back down to the desk to ask what else could be done be

The location is great. But the service and amenities make this a less desirable property. House keeping is subpar. We were there 4 days, and when we checked in, the room had not been vacuumed and a cleaning was left in the room. We assumed it would be rectified the next day, but they are still following that covid plan of every other day, I assume, to save money. However, during my 4 day stay, it was never vacuumed!||The breakfast was blah, with watered down juice and stale pastries.||Finally, the bed cover was stained and never cleaned. The sheets were thin, worn, an did not fit the bed.

My stay started with unfriendly staff at the front desk, never greeted or smiled. Dress code was also unacceptable in crop|Tops and hoodies, staff was always hiding in the back office and I had to wait for them to come up to me.||As a gold member never got any water at the front desk or even a thank you for being a gold member ||Stayed on the 3rd floor, rooms are beyond dated. Even their case goods- the wood is splitting , stains, scratches on the furniture and all over the room. Hair in the bathroom, walls, doors and floors. Old , old hotel.||If you must stay for a night for business or on budget I think it’s fine but if you are there for vacation -pay a little more and stay somewhere else. ||Even staff at breakfast area or houseman in the hallway never greeted , everyone seems so sad. Positive: I was able to check in easy and the woman was nice as could be Negative: I haven't gotten my deposit back and it's been over 15 days

The rooms were clean, but the water pressure was poor and there was no fan in the bathroom. The breakfast was mediocre, though I appreciated that it was provided for hotel guests. Thin walls.
