Hampton Inn Clinton

We made reservations for family members who were coming in from out of state over Christmas, and the experience was very positive. The hotel was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in, so we could just get the keys. This helped a lot with travel timing. The lady at the front desk was amazing–very welcoming, patient, and extremely helpful on a hectic Christmas Eve, when we stopped by. Her professionalism and kindness really stood out and made the stay much easier for our family during the holidays. Our family feedback was great, they mentioned the rooms were nice and clean. We truly appreciated the hospitality.

Positive: The decor / colors are nice. Good breakfast and incredibly kind and helpful breakfast attendant/host. Negative: Room doors slam, woke me up several times at night. The room hvac unit did not have a fan that continually run to help mask hall noise and ventilation.

I arrived very early and the staff was able to make up a room for me so my fun wasn't delayed! And they found a duplicate reservation and cancelled it for me.

Hilton - consider selling this location to a budget hotel brand. I *only* stay at Hilton Brands (Diamond member) and this hotel and professionalism of staff were NOT up to Hilton standards. My credit card was charged the room/taxes + an early check-in fee 30 mins before I even reached the hotel - and I never requested, or agreed to pay for, early check-in. (For the record, I've checked in a little early to many Hilton hotels in the last year & was never charged an extra fee.) Coffee pot in room was dirty, mini-fridge unable to adjust temp, "warm" coffee in the lobby at 8am (should be hot at that time), some breakfast food looked old. Note: This hotel is a SMOKING hotel - you choose smoking or non-smoking rooms. It also allows pets.

Expected better. No carts at check in. Staff apathetic about guests. Rooms old and dated. Bugs in the room. TVs are old and small. Just find a better place for your money. Found stink bugs and nests in the room and management did nothing to refund our stay. Honors Gold Member too. Just very poor all around. Not Hilton worthy.
