Hampton Inn by Hilton Sarnia/Point Edward

Tried to give zero stars; I actually didn’t stay there. My mother in law was in her final days and passed away the night of Feb11th. I booked the hotel for the night of the11th to stay in town, but when I booked, I didn’t check the date properly; not a great night to begin with. When I realized my mistake and called the hotel, I was told nothing could be done about it because it was my fault and I couldn’t change the date to that night instead. I was told that it didn’t matter what my excuse was. So I drove back to Brantford that night after losing my mother in law only 2hrs previously. I don’t believe I will ever stay at any Hampton inn ever again. No heart.

Clean, comfortable, sufficient Handicap Parking, and nice little touch’s. Hilton sends reminder/confirmation a day before.Contactless check in worked flawlessly. Bathroom had a nice after build plug in night light in the bathroom! Smart as we usually have to leave the bathroom light on and partially close the door. Lower stepping tub/shower with a perfectly placed grab bar . (And this was a regular room handicap accessible. ). We arrived after 10 hours on the road for a one night stay over to break up a long drive. The two women at the desk, Heena and Tanveer were just as the best hospitality staff should be. Warm smiles and even though I had pre-checked in, I decided to get a couple room card keys. About 15 minutes after settling into to what seemed a really nice clean room, my wife who

Positive: The breakfast was excellent. Staff was really nice. Negative: Our room was cold at night and couldn't turn up the heat. None of the thermostat.

I stayed here recently and had a great experience from start to finish. I arrived late, and the lady at the reception was so accommodating and kind — very pleasant to deal with after a long day. The breakfast was excellent, honestly better than some other Hilton locations I’ve stayed at before. Good spread of items, and breakfast ran from around 6 AM to 11 AM (as I remember). There was always someone checking the buffet, topping things up, and making sure everyone was happy — really appreciated that attention. My room was very well cleaned, smelled fresh, and the washroom looked new and spotless. Safe parking, nice environment, and the hotel also has an indoor pool. Juanita the manager was very kind and friendly. All the staff were very kind and friendly. The breakfast was standard American, scrambled eggs, pour to make your own waffles. I loved the oatmeal - add raisins, sliced almonds and the mixed fruit (you’d use for waffles) but I added mine to the oatmeal. -Coffee and tea bar anytime you want. -Plenty of parking. -The pillows are super soft and comfortable, filled with down feathers. In need of lunch and dinner? go right next to the hotel that has excellent lunch and dinner with vegetarian options, kid’s menu, and other options as well. The restaurant staff is very friendly! Did not like the sliding doors of my room - maybe because it was an accessible room. Close to the border/bridge and other places nearby. Make sure to plan ahead, and dow
