Hampton Inn Alexander City

This is an average motel. The room was just okay. The air conditioner worked fine, I didn't adjust it any. The room had a strange smell, maybe musty about it. The carpet was worn and needed to be replaced. The breakfast coffee was poor. The coffee had poor taste and cold. Everything to eat was also cold, even the oatmeal.

Great rooms. I had a queen suite and loved it. Friendly staff at the front desk. Rachel even texted after checking in to ensure everything was to my liking. Nice free breakfast.

One Star If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with one of the front desk staff members was extremely disappointing. When I requested an additional room key, I was told there would be an extra charge. I also asked for a plate and a spoon and was informed that the hotel does not provide these items. To clarify, the front desk employee had given me several keys during my stay, but I returned each one the following day as required. When I contacted customer service to file a complaint, the staff member falsely stated that she had no key available and that she had already provided me with multiple keys—without mentioning that I had returned them each time. I have been staying at Hampton inn in the past many years but this one was a great disappointment. Rooms are smelly and carpets are dirty. I was told this hotel has bed bugs. After one night I checked out and moved to different hotel.

Huge leak from toilet plumbing and it is summer and the pool was not in service. Computer in business center was not working. The curtains would not open to let light in. The employees were the highlight. Helpful and just good people. Every one of them.
