Half Moon Lake Lodge

If I could give a million stars, I would! Let me start by saying that this is such a beautifully maintained piece of heaven! We didn't stay at the lodge because we were camping, but we had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with Dominique for dinner, who completely made our night serving the BEST cocktails! And the food was AMAZING too! You can of course fulfill your carnivore healthy appetite, but they have vegan and gluten free items too! It really isn't that far from the Town of Pinedale, so if you are looking for a GREAT restaurant, I would absolutely recommend the drive up to have a spectacular dinner with incredible ambiance. This place is amazing. It has that old lodge feel and is situated right on gorgeous Half Moon Lake. They have a great menu and bar as well as many activities to partake in. Dominique was amazing! He is a true cowboy and excellent guide. He led us in a hike up to the outlet of Fayette Lake and the scenery was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I made a dinner reservation for seven (7) family members for Tuesday, August 15 two weeks in advance of our arrival. We arrived on time and there was no one around to seat us - had to go into the bar and ask to be seated. There were no other guests in the dining room, three (3) guests in the bar. We initially ordered four beers, one cocktail and one glass of wine - took forever to get our drinks. Subsequent refills were almost an impossibility because the bartender was too busy conversing with her three friends in the bar. Finally had to go into the bar and confront her to get the second round of drinks. Our meal was a huge disappointment as well - steaks overcooked, lamb chops overcooked and tougher than my boot sole and our meals came out of the kitchen cold. There was a time when

We went here for refreshments after a horse ride, and it was so much fun! The food was delicious! We had the onion rings and the deep fried s'mores. I also had a cowboy cocktail and my relatives had some beer. They had a good selection. They have umbrellas outside so you can keep cover in the hot sun. Otherwise the bar itself is really pretty. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. It's on a beautiful lake.

I took my wife to the Half Moon restaurant for her birthday dinner. The service and the food were excellent. The cook even came out and asked how our meal was. As usual, the sounds of nature set the evening off as we chose to celebrate with their outdoor setting. .
