Gulf Waters RV Resort / Fort Myers Beach

I was super disappointed with the camera's pointing directly into my camper. For the price of this place i really expected more. I've stayed at State parks for a tenth of the price that had waay better setups then this place. It's also interesting how tight the streets were for a big rig only park. Getting into the site is a bit of a challenge especially if the site across from you is taken. This place is mostly long-term stays so the community is really nice and the amenities are well maintained. Its just the individual sites that I have an issue with.

We love Gulf Waters. It’s a special place with amazing people. We would love to buy here, but there are a few things they need to put attention to in order to attract the next generation of lot owners. These are NOT complaints just suggestions. Gulf Waters is still an awesome place without these things. Off leash pets. A lot of owners just go off leash with their pets. Our neighbor had no problem with his dog being on our lot constantly barking. This creates a bad situation for our pet, and goes against the rules everyone else is expected to follow. On that note, a fenced in dog run would be key to letting animals have freedom without disrupting other guests or owners. It was a nice place with beautiful landscaping. There was a wide variety of palm trees. The laundry room was nice. I was put off by the bathrooms, they were not very clean or well maintained- broken fixtures, faulty fans, moldy floors around the showers in some. The staff who I came in contact with was very nice and accommodating. It’s dog friendly but not super practical for the pups. If you’re in the inside loop around the water, you’re dealing with gators and the dogs can’t use the lawn that is just off of your slip. There’s a dog walk that is the perimeter of the park but I didn’t find a good place to exercise the dogs. Overall, it’s a nice place with friendly people.

We lived there for 3 months (July-September) and were very happy with our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful when approached, otherwise respectful of your privacy. Their pool and laundry center are both very clean, which was appreciated during our stay. I felt safe going for a morning jog behind the gate. They are still working to recover from the hurricane and I think they're doing a wonderful job. The tennis courts are currently being rebuilt and I think they'll have the community center open during season, which looks like it would be a lot of fun. If we ever need a long term spot in the area, we will be back!

We started coming here in 2017. We were only able to get a couple months during the winter. We loved this place so much we bought a lot in 2020. People here are great and take pride in our little slice of paradise! Hurricane Ian struck our park and caused much damage. Our lot owners volunteered their time and got us all cleaned up and functioning again. Did I mention the owners here are great! This is a beautiful park and there is always something happening here. If the beach is your vibe. We are only a 2 mile bike ride to the beach! Our resort just gets better and better ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
