Grey Hackle Lodge

Booked a weekend getaway everything was so smooth with the booking process. All of the amenities were amazing. All the upgrades on the cabins look fantastic and the new owners are on top of taking care of you as a consumer. Would 10 out 10 recommend booking your next getaway to these cabins.

This was our 2nd family trip at this lodge. We've stayed in cabin #2 and #8(perfect for a family we had 6 and had plenty of room) quiet location, beautiful scenery. Lots of adventures to be had near by. The cabins come fully stocked with everything you could need aside from yourself and food, but even that can be found near by. Super close to Payson as well if you want to do anything in town. Would recommend 10 out of 10. Will definitely be back!

Save yourself the money and book elsewhere. We don't mind rustic but we were completely disappointed in this cabin. We rented cabin #5. Let's start with the bathroom, it's only a shower and a toilet. The shower is so small u can't turn around and the shower head is at chest height and the bottom is stained brown. The toilet seat was broken. There is no bathroom sink. Be prepared to brush ur teeth in the kitchen sink. The pillows were terrible hard as a rock. We got groceries in Payson since the cabin advertised a kitchen. We filed the mini fridge but when I went to make dinner all the food was frozen! Wasted $. Thank God there were restaurants in walking distance. Very cute place. The outside was decorated for the holidays. You can definitely tell there was love and time out into it. The inside was super spacious and well equipped. Cooking utensils like pot, pan, oil, plates, cups, and ect. Plenty of blankets and they even left some activities for the kids to do. Everything was great except for the for the cleaning part. There was dog hair everywhere. For them to charge $60 for cleaning they definitely should be taking the hair balls from underneath the table. Even the blankets we slept in were covered in dog hair.

It was a bit rundown when I stayed there. The front door to the cabin was nearly falling off the hinges. The bathroom door was crooked and hard to lock/unlock. There was no air conditioning. The location is great. Some other cabins were recently renovated, so I wish they told me to stay in a better one than the rundown cabin I selected.
