Rim Top Trailhead

We had an amazing experience camping here with family and friends! A large Elk visited our campsite and the kids had the experience of a lifetime quietly watching him graze! The view from the edge of the rim and the surrounding pines is breathtaking!

Beautiful place. I was trying to go to Woods Canyon but the road was closed so I hiked 3.5 miles from the top of the rim. My dogs got to enjoy snow for the first time. I was able to drive Camaro to this spot. General Crook Trail

The snow there are knee deep and my dogs enjoyed the snow for the first time! Not recommended to bring little cars, since there was a car that got stuck there and luckily i had a Toyota 4runner and helped pull them out! Please, please dress warm and bring extra pair of clothes! Make sure you make your dogs wear booties because the snow will cut their paws! Otherwise, this place is so beautiful!

Absolutely stunning trail that leads you along the Rim. We didn't get to complete the trail but it took us to an overlook where we could view the whole Rim + a bridge, which is some of the best scenery I've seen in all of Arizona.

I love this area. At 7500 elevation you will always be cool. Did some camping in the snow. I think it snowed about 9 inches. We almost always see deers when we go up. There are a lot of crows so don’t leave your food out. Lol
