Great House Motel

TLDR bed bugs! And the staff doesn't seem very concerned, which is concerning I'm pretty worried about the cleanliness of this place, and thought I would leave a warning for folks thinking of coming. I checked into the motel late at night, and after getting to the room I started checking for bed bugs. Within the first minute I found droppings in the sheets, and then a bug on the box spring. I called up the front desk and the guy up front came to check it out. He didn't seem to know what bed bugs were, and was confused why I didn't want to sleep in there anymore. He kept bringing up how he had just cleaned the room with bleach, which he thinks is enough. His friend came over to check out the room as well, and luckily he knew about bed bugs and backed me up. Huge clean room with king size bed, A/C and fridge. Bathroom is huge. Location was pretty good. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you travel thru the Olympic National Park

Seriously. Google Maps street view is from 2018, seven years ago. The parking lot is packed with people who live there, it's filthy with butts, bits of trash, and broken down rusty mildew grey wet/worn/rusty with PNW weather "furniture". The AC window units are in, in February.||||Save your money, there are way better budget rentals up the road.||||There are two kinds of budget motels: short term rentals for the houseless/formerly evicted and those for the tourist trade. Exceptional Stay at the Great House Motel! I had a fantastic experience at the Great House Motel in Sequim. The staff was incredibly fast, attentive, and professional—always friendly and ready to help. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location is absolutely perfect—close to everything you need, from restaurants to local attractions. I highly recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area. This is a really affordable place! I have to be honest, I was a bit worried at first when I arrived. My sister booked the motel and I did not have a great first impression. But I was pleased with our stay, no complaints AND the rooms were priced well. We were supposed to stay in a room with two king size beds, but the room got flooded. So they book us with two rooms with a king bed inside each room at the same price. They are very professional with great customer service, and they are family operated. We waited in the lobby for a few minutes until the owner came, and the elderly couple was kind and offered us water. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
