Grape Hammock Fish Camp & Airboat Rides

We did an airboat tour with Captain Kevin. It was amazing!!! Loved every minute of it. Kevin was very knowledgeable of the area, the wildlife and where to find the animals. I thought we might only see a few gators. We saw about 50! Not to mention the birds, bald eagles, deer, cows, etc etc. The boat is very clean, well maintained, and safe. I appreciated that they sanitized the headsets and covered the microphones in between customers. The tour was only to be about an hour. I think we were out closer to 90 minutes! Kevin didn’t rush us and made sure we all got the pictures we wanted and our questioned were answered before we went to the next site. Thanks all!!! We will be back!!

Husband and I staying at Canopy Oaks RV Resort and a number of people highly recommended GRAPE HAMMOCK for an informative airboat tour. Reservations were easily made online with immediate verification. Also received a reminder phone call the morning of our reservation. Directions were clear and after signing the requisite waiver we were off! Husband, 2 of his brothers and myself. Our guide was fantastic, showing us eagles, eagle nests, osprey and nest, alligators of various sizes from tiny nursery babes, to huge males. Sand cranes and nest with eggs, Deer, cattle, vultures, and multiple other birds. Loved the entire experience! Thank you Grape Hammocks!

My husband and I were excited to spend our 37th wedding anniversary at Grape Hammock on Jan 7 and 8, 2025. We arrived after the office was closed. Took a bit to find the Cabin 11 as it was 7pm and dark. We turned the heat on right away and it did not take long for it to heat up. Unfortunately, it did not stay on. There is a binder of information on the coffee table but unfortunately it does not list an emergency phone number. We left a message on the office voice mail - another good place to leave an emergency phone number. The thermostat went to down to 57 degrees with the outside temp in the mid 30's. At 7:45 am on Wed, a lovely woman came to the door. She check the breakers and the heat came back. When the next visitor (maybe Kevin was his name) came to look at the situation,

What a fantastic experience. Our airboat ride Capt Barrett provided us with information about Lake Kissimmee and we saw a lot of birds, alligators, and deer in their native environment. Great time! Great information shared! We also drove through the fish campground and the native oak trees gave us a look at Florida as it’s been for years.

We had a wonderful time on our Airboat ride. We saw alligators of all sizes. Caught one eating a fish. Seen beautiful birds, to include Eagles, turkeys and deer as well. Let’s not forget the cattle standing in the lake grazing. Loved the ride, beautiful weather and our captain was very knowledgeable. Great trip and highly recommended.
