Grand Timber Lodge

Even though technically this is a 3 star hotel, I give it 5 stars! The staff knows how to make you feel welcome, and are very helpful with all your questions. The room was clean (and I checked it all out) and comfortable. Wish I could have stayed longer! Also, there is a shuttle bus that takes you to town (which isn't that far to walk anyway), if necessary. I really enjoyed staying here.

The resort was nice, the staff was pleasant, the restaurant had great food and we liked the little shop which had anything you may have forgotten. However, the room above us was loud. We could hear them walking, stomping and wrestling around in the evening and up until around midnight on multiple nights. It was loud enough to wake our family. This was very disappointing as we were on vacation and wanted to get good rest.

The room was clean, roomy and well equipped. The onsite amenities (pools, hot tubs, sauna, arcade, restaurant, private movie theaters) were fantastic! The concierge staff and front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was a short distance to the town and very close to the ski lifts. The only issue we had was getting our room serviced by the housekeeping staff. We had to wait several days past our scheduled servicing. Besides that, the lodge was phenomenal and I’d highly recommend.

We had a great stay here! What we really liked were the hot tub/pool/sauna areas, the shuttle service to and from town, and the ski in/ski out access. Also appreciated that the rooms come with a humidifier, and that even the studio rooms have a kitchenette. Beds were comfortable. I will mention that even though we were placed in a building that had recently had some soundproofing improvements made, we could still very clearly hear noise (such as children crying) from the room adjoining ours. Thankfully this didn't wake us or interfere with our stay, but I hope improvements continue to be made. Overall would stay again!

Broken fridge the first night got all our food to 50 degrees. They replaced it but after we called the front deak twice and we had to be present for 3 hours as they swapped out the fridge twice. Then for the last 3 nights, a band of barbarians has been in the room above us (3-4 unattended children) every afternoon and even into the evening beyond quiet hours. Apparently, we weren't even the only ones to complain while they river danced in their ski boots while bowling in their living room. The first 2 nights, the manager did their best and allegedly had a serious conversation with the parents. Tonight, a different manager told me there is nothing he can do except listen outside their door to hear what they are doing and possibly find us a new room. Apprently, his management style is to ga
