Grand Hinckley Inn

The Grand Hinckley Inn is a bit dated, but adequate for the one night we needed lodging. The casino, with dining options is across the parking lot, so very convenient. Location is very quiet, bed was comfortable.

Was not impressed with our stay. Our room was not ready by check-in, the audio for the TV in the bedroom part of the room did not work, one of the sinks did not drain properly, the jets in the jacuzzi only worked on one half of the tub, and there was no hot water at all in the morning. The front desk lady was very kind though and we do understand its an older hotel but for the room did not warrant the price we paid. Will not be staying there again.

Rooms are pretty dinged up (burn holes, chunks missing off walls, etc.) There was blood on one blanket, a top blanket and you could tell it was fresh/unwashed. Pillows are old and flat - not good. Sound on TV was not working due to them switching providers but they never disclosed that when booking. Security was called late at night for an argument going on in the room next to ours. A girl was screaming at her boyfriend through the door and said all her stuff was in the room and he's on probation, etc., etc. she argued with him for over an hour through the door. The police also came but they were allowed to stay after screaming in the hallway at night for over an hour. They only had smoking rooms and said they could bring an air purifier down and it'll help so we said ok and stayed. T

Rooms were nice, clean, nothing extra spectacular. The mattresses on both beds were a bit lopsided and very sunk in to one side making them uncomfortable. The best feature about rooms was how quiet they were, we didn't hear footsteps in the hallway, doors slamming, or any sounds from outside the room, which was really nice. The pool was decent and they had a hot tub/whirlpool. We didn't eat the breakfast in the morning so I'm not sure how that was. We only stayed one night and didn't play at the casino.

Had a hockey tournament in Mora. This hotel was SUPER accommodating to our team. I highly recommend this place. Extremely friendly staff who spoke to our kids when they got too loud with compassion and gave our kids grace.
