Americas Best Value Inn Hinckley

I gave it a 1 because there wasn't a 0. What a dump, non smoking room but smelled like smoke when we walked in, pillow cases and bed sheets were discolored like they were old, no shower gels or shampoo in the dispensers, paint peeling off the walls, had to point remote to the wall opposite the TV for it to work, outlet cover gone and wires hanging out, everything was so dusty, black mold in bathroom. The free breakfast was 4 peach fruit cups and a few packets of oatmeal, THATS IT!!! Ive stayed at Motel 6s by the cities better than that. When you own a business, you should make it more welcome, sorry.

It was so disgusting, we opted to forfeit the ~$250 we'd spent on two rooms and drive three hours home in the middle of the night. One of the first rooms smelled so bad of urine that we had it switched. That one had broken glass and shredded cheese on the bathroom floor (an odd combination?). Animal fur was built up on the corner of one of the walls. Stains on the sheets. Wood paneling that was used as a shower surround was falling away from the wall. Short of a life or death, survival situation, I can't imagine being desperate enough to consider staying here. Drive an hour further or sleep in your vehicle. So bad!

Positive: The location was easy to get to and close to what we needed. Negative: The AC wasn’t working, although the staff was working hard to fix it. The rooms weren’t clean, the curtains were broken. The rooms need some repair and updating.

The motel is very outdated and dirty. The jacuzzi tub was dirty and we had to clean it before use. The shower and mirror had hair stuck to them. No air conditioning. Was told to open the window which had no screen. Staff wasn't helpful, just complained about management. I'd stay away from this motel.

my room was trashed while i was hospitalized due to being threatened by her maintenance staff. Manager refused to check surveillance. My property was stolen and never recovered. This place is just horrible. I was refunded after arguing with the so called owner. I wouldn't ever stay at this scuzzy trash hotel.
