Gordon's Resort

Everything was great. It was a peaceful, quiet cabin. Everybody loved it that came to visit us. I only had a problem with the Wi-Fi because of my phone other than that. The hostess was very hospitable friendly. I would highly recommend staying here to get away from stress..

I would not recommend staying here at all, from top to bottom not a good experience. The two good things, central location and the beds were comfortable; that is where it ends. Sally the owner called us a day prior to arrival stating our room was ready, only problem was our reservation was to begin the following night, which we explained; “oh no problem,” more on that later. The cabin had been closed up during an especially hot period and was about 88 degrees inside when we arrived. It has amazing double doors to air out but no screens (removed for a patch job to hold up the framing) and unable to be reinstalled. It is on the portage between the lakes, so mosquito heaven, and we had one filthy box fan to cool down the entire place; it never got below 80 inside the first night, even t

Gordon's has been a family favorite for close to 50 years. The family that owns the resort is a staple of the community in Curtis, and the resort has passed down through generations. It's our family's "go-to" place in Michigan's upper peninsula!

Cabin 3 was very run-down with sagging floors and duct-taped repairs. The linens were clean and the floor surfaces were as well. A warm and dry place to stay, but nothing to write home about. We will find accommodations elsewhere in the future.

Its... Ok. If you had to stay for a weekend trip or maybe a single week you would be ok. The essentials are taken pretty well of. Theres base board heating, a Tv, electricity, a stove and bathroom. The tv is stuck on a single chanel and the remote only goes to channel 1. The drawers in the rooms are pretty broken. A nice feature is the included cards and games.
