Glen Isle Resort

Glen Isle is a historic resort that beautifully preserves its charm and character, nestled not far from central Colorado. My husband and I first visited in the fall, and this time we returned as a growing family, staying in one of the resort’s most popular cabins. Mary, the owner, has maintained the property with exceptional care. The resort is clean, modern, and well-maintained while still retaining its historic charm. Mary herself is incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. She is very accommodating and genuinely cares about making each guest’s experience special. We visited just after Christmas, and the resort felt truly magical during the holiday season. We highly recommend Glen Isle and look forward to returning again in the future.

This place is one of those places that feels like stepping into a hidden piece of Colorado history. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with unique old wagons, horses, goats, and little details scattered throughout that make it feel rustic and authentic. The grounds do show some wear and could use a little more upkeep in places, but if you look beyond that, there’s a lot of charm here. Between the camping areas and tucked-away cabins, it feels like a quiet adventure waiting to be explored. If you appreciate character and history more than polish and perfection, this is a really special spot.

This was our second time staying at Glen-Isle in one of the cabins. We grew up in the Bailey area and were familiar with the resort when it was owned by the Tripp family. The new owners have done a fantastic job of lovingly restoring the historic lodge and cabins to their former glory. It's like stepping back in time to the early 1900s. The cabins remain rustic, yet with all the modern conveniences. They are tastefully furnished, cozy, and comfortable. Linens, dishes, cookware, and small appliances offer guests a home-away-from- home experience. Many opportunities for fun things to do in the area. |Owners are on site and very responsive to guests. We hope to make this a yearly trip to Glen-Isle!

Glen Isle Resort is an absolute dream! I actually won my stay here on The Price Is Right — and as a Colorado native, it turned out to be the most amazing staycation I could’ve ever imagined. Everything about this place is incredible — from the beautiful riverside setting to the historic charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a peaceful 1900s mountain escape. We stayed in the Evergreen Cabin by the stables, and it was pure perfection — cozy, clean, and full of rustic character. The fact that we could bring our dog made it even more special! The property itself is stunning, surrounded by nature and full of little touches that show how much care goes into maintaining it. The owners and staff were so kind and welcoming — you can tell they genuinely love what they do and want ever

This is one of my favorite places in Colorado. Incredibly unique setting and the wonderful owners could not be more accommodating or welcoming. I have stayed in both the cabins and camped at one of the sites on the expansive property. Highly recommend making a point to stay here if you are interested in a beautiful setting with an intriguing history!
