We just had our first camping experience here and thoroughly enjoyed our week. Our Granddaughter loved the playground, us big kids too. The bath house was very clean and the grounds are very well kept as well. Lots of space between campers, and we camped right on the river which was beautiful...not good fishing at the time but there were a lot of folks trying. Many kayaked and floated in the river which looked like a lot of fun. The road to the campground is a bit narrow and winding, take it slow and you'll be fine. We are already planning another camping trip next month to go back. Just beautiful and peaceful, definitely unplugged as there is no WIFI or cell phone without a cell booster from what other campers told us.

Great place. Bring a fishing pole and a bike . Late season trip for us . Will be back for sure. Setting by campfire watching the full moon rise , not sure it gets much better.

Gerald Freeman Campground is a GREAT place to get away if you are looking to disconnect. There is NO SERVICE of any kind up here! We have a powerful WeBoost on our RV and STILL no bars. There are a few places you can move around to and maybe get 1 bar, but they are hard to find. Starlink works great though, and once established you can use WiFi calling for your phone. The scenery is beautiful here, and you almost have to look straight up to see the sky because you are surrounded by mountains. The lake/creek/river (I'm not sure which it is because it says lake, but it has a slight current) runs directly by the campsites and there is easy access for fishing, kayaking, and other aquatic activities. The campground itself is SUPER clean, and so are the shower houses. The sites are level and wel

First I want to say this review has nothing to do with staff, maintenance or the ranger they were super nice, helpful, accommodating and fair. The camp spaces are too close together and you have no privacy or enough room. On weekends people competing in bass tournaments are extremely rude, have no etiquette and entitled. We had a spot reserved and when we arrived they had taken our reserved camping spot, the ranger was helpful though and we were issued a refund for 1 night. When we went out fishing all day tournament bass races by,cut in front of where we were fishing. Had my young nephew not been with me I would have went off.
