Gatlinburg Mountain Inn

We planned a spur of the moment trip for 4 days to Gatlinburg and my wife booked, via Booking.com. We were surprised when the total cost came to 57.50 per night, including tax. (Booking.com benefit helps!) The hotel was very clean with fresh scented rooms. Mattress was very comfortable and additional linens were provided on request. Wifi was very good and motel has a great TV line up via Roku. Management team and staff were extremely friendly and made sure our every need was taken care of ASAP. A trolley stop directly in front of hotel makes access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge very easy. We will definitely be returning to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean room, close to town. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and it’s just a ~15 mins walk to the town center. Definitely a great value for the price.

Went here for new years eve with my boyfriend and they charged $220 for a room that is usually $53. We went in the room and it had a strange smell we looked in the bathroom and the tub was nasty, it previously had some non skid strips in the tub but they had been removed but the sticky backing was still present, they had a non skid mat with suction cups to put in the tub and it was full of black stuff on the back. Looked like it had never been cleaned. We left the room and went to the desk and asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere and they would not refund. We ended up going to a much nicer lodge for less money. Won't be going back there again.

This is not a high end hotel but the rooms are very clean and we can not say enough about the management, they are extremely courteous and very accommodating. Our tv in our room was going out. The color was going bad and we just notified them to make sure they knew, we could have dealt with it, as much as we would be in the room. But no sir the next morning the manager personally installed a brand new TV and spent some time chatting with us about the area and local bear activities. Just a great team and very accommodating. We will stay here again!

We had four people, three nights. You get what you pay for, but most of that is going for location. The motel is within walking distance of the main drag for Gatlinburg; it's a small hike up a hill when you're coming back, so if you're exhausted from the day or have mobility issues keep that in mind. Otherwise it's certainly worth it to avoid heavy traffic and costly parking. It's also far enough away to be quiet, and you have a pretty easy escape route to Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains, even in heavy traffic, when you're ready for something other than Gatlinburg. So if you just want a place to store your stuff and crash at night, while your primary goals are out and about in the city and surrounding nature, then this isn't a terrible choice... but manage your expectations.
