Garner Hotel Panama City Beach Northeast by IHG

We have a toddler so we really appreciated the bathtub mini fridge and microwave. Friendly staff and clean room and bathroom! Breakfast was decent and they have whole milk :) Right across from the zoo and super close to the beach.

Time will tell if these people will take the time to keep this hotel clean. It's freshly painted and there have been some upgrades, but generally speaking, the Patels have lousy track records for cleanliness. The carpets have reached their service life throughout the property.

The rooms were clean and the price was reasonable, but the beds and pillows were terrible—we both woke up with back pain, which isn’t something we normally deal with. Breakfast was very basic, with just two cereals, some bread and pastries, circular eggs, packet oatmeal, bagged waffles, and crumbles of bacon and sausage. The fitness center was extremely limited—just a cable machine with two attachments, a treadmill, and an elliptical—so don’t expect much if that matters to you. The staff were polite, but as a Platinum member I was disappointed not to receive a complimentary upgrade, especially since the app showed a room available. This was a decent hotel overall. The room was clean and well-kept, which is always a plus. Breakfast wasn’t anything amazing, but it was nice that they offered one. TV channel selection was pretty limited, so not much to watch in the room. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant. Overall, it’s a fine place to stay for a night or two, but nothing particularly impressive or memorable.
