Garden Inn & Suites

This is an old motel that is slowly being renovated. I was in a accessible room. It had a lot of space and was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The furniture was mid 80's hotel. Having cable and a big flat screen was nice. I was traveling alone and I appreciated them placing me near the office for security. There are plenty places to eat less than gan 5 minutes. It is right off 16 which is convenient. I wish the office was open and provided coffee. They just have a little walk up window as if you were at a bank in the hood.

They have a nice lobby but no access for guests. You have a small window with small opening in entry for check in. Even during day lobby locked. Window curtains in room on 1st level only closes with clothes pins. Water is barely warm. Shower curtain holder coming off and from looks has been put on in different locations numerous times. We were to stay 6 nights and checked out after 1 and went to Days Inn which wasn't much more price wise but much better. Do not recommend this place at all. In talking with people in town, if you get the first few rooms by lo by they are nice otherwise rooms aren't good.

Positive: Location - perfect, Staff friendly, let us check accommodations before accepting rooms. Rooms clean ,very secure with double locks on the doors. Microwave and fridge worked great - we brought coffee, tea and cups because we know they don't provide. Negative: Worn carpets need to be replaced , had to ask for toilet paper, linens very worn but serviceable- some rooms were under construction downstairs - will be great when they are finished and hope updates on other rooms are planned.

Very friendly staff that want to make sure your visit is great. Clean facilities and clean room. Would absolutely stay there again! The staff went out of their way to be friendly. I was there on business for 1 night and the rates were great for the room. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and clean as well.

For a motel, this is a hidden gem. VERY clean, rooms are updated and smells good and new. Bed was also comfortable. This was perfect for parents trying to see their kids at GSU...a 20 minute drive to campus and much cheaper. Will definitely be staying here again. The family that owns this place were very nice, sweet people! ❤️
