Four Seasons Family Camping Area

Really rude front office. Beth was the woman who answered the phone. Talked down to us the whole time on the phone when booking our reservation. When we arrived our campsite was not ready. We waited with 3 young kids for 2 hours before we were able to unpack and get on the site. It was so loud lots of partying and drinking not the “family campground” we were expecting. I was surprised because the reviews were pretty positive but our experience was nothing of the sort. Would not recommend.

We spent a week here and I have mixed feelings about this campground. First the pros:|-on a beautiful lake with boat docks, clean water and a nice beach|-every site has a trash can and trash pick up was convenient|-outside sink for washing dishes at the bathroom|-bathrooms were maintained daily|-friendly staff|Cons: Our site was a muddy mess! I realize that it has been a wet summer but site #22 (and 23) has no gravel or stones. The other people we were with had sites that drained as they should and even after a day of heavy rain, dried up nicely.|This mud ruined our vacation week. We could not have a fire at our site or sit at our picnic table and our dog spent most of the week in the truck or pop up to avoid laying in the mud. Also, there is no weed trimming here. We stayed here for the 4th of July week in 2016 and our kids had a great time. There are other campgrounds that are more commercial in the area, but if you're looking for a family run, quiet campground, this place is great. Our site was huge, and was right near the playground area. The campground is right on Long Lake in Maples, ME and they offer boat slips for only $14 per night if you bring a boat. You don't have to use the slip, there is plenty of parking for your boat/trailer in an open field as well. There is a small beach area and a wooden float for the kids to walk/swim out to and jump into the lake. They rent canoes and kayaks, and there is plenty to do in the area, including a great, digital drive-in movie theater down the road in Bridgeton. They don't have any sites with se
