We live about an hour north and were in town for a 24 hour race at the speedway up the road. I knew this was an older motel and that the rooms are individually owned. My expectations were so-so. I was way wrong. First off, before we even got there the assistance we got at the desk was great. I think the same lady checked us in as she was the same kind of friendly. The lobby is actually quite nice. Not super fancy, but nice and bright. The Tiki bar out back was also nicer than I expected. It's January so not a good day for the pool, but it looks like a great place to hang when it's a bit warmer. It's right on the beach. The hotel was full so we couldn't check in early. They were happy to give us a parking pass so we could leave the car there. Once we got back to from the race that night,

Positive: The room was clean and comfortable The Tiki bar was fun and the food was good. Close to the beach with easy access. Negative: I had a problem operating the TV, called the front desk, they didn't know how to work the TV either. I asked about beach chair rentals, the kid at the desk said he never heard of that. I called the place we stayed last year for that information.

Booked 2 rooms, one room my son stayed in and had no issues.|My daughter and I was in room 327. It was German roach infested. In several different areas throughout the room I saw these little roaches crawling on our belongings and throughout the room. Unfortunately before I saw the roaches we had decided to sign up for a 2nd night stay and we didn’t change rooms the night they were spotted because my daughter had already dozed off to sleep. The next morning I went to the desk and showed the receptionist the pics and videos I had of the roaches and she switched our room for the 2nd night to room 415.|Upon entering that room we noticed the air conditioner was down to 63 and pretty cold in the room but it did seem liken a nicer room. We turned the air conditioner up to 73, and as the day pro

We had the worst experience ever. I have asked to speak to the General manger and I have heard nothing back. Not only did they giggle at my aunt who lost her daughter two years ago they also put us in a room that was occupied they then put us in a room that was not cleaned yet. So the third time they put us in a room that was supposedly clean but it was so nasty. No vending machines that worked and the elevator was having problems as well. We have called repeatedly and have been lied to laughed at and treated really bad. This place should be shut down. I own a restaurant here in Florida so I know the ins and outs. I’m not letting this go. Horrible experience

Overall, this hotel has some positives, but our stay was disappointing due to cleanliness, lack of basic amenities, and one particularly unprofessional staff member. Pros: Great location (though I wish there were more convenience stores in walking distance), easy check-in and check-out, and mostly quiet. The female front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The tiki restaurant on the ground floor was excellent with great food and staff. Beach access was a plus. The heated pool and hot tub were a good size (though the area could be cleaner and maintained). The room size was decent, the A/C was very cold, and the hotel was convenient overall. Cons: Cleanliness was a major issue — the room and hotel felt grimy and poorly maintained. The bathroom offered little to no privacy, the show
