Forty First Place - Boutique Hostel

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent stay – highly recommend I stayed in the Deluxe Suite at Forty First Place – Boutique Hostel and had a great experience. The suite was clean, comfortable, and much nicer than I expected. The bed was super comfortable, the room was spacious, and everything was well maintained. The property itself has a chill, boutique vibe and felt safe and quiet during my stay. Staff were friendly, helpful, and made check-in smooth. I also appreciated how close it is to major spots in LA — very convenient for getting around. For the price, this place is a steal. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable stay with good vibes, especially the Deluxe Suite, this is definitely the spot. I would stay here again without hesitation

I was not aware it was hostel until I got there being it was my first stay in hostel i was impressed by quietness overall did not hear noise until morning from lady across the way playing her music other wise it was not too bad. Parking is residential so be prepared to dropped off or wait for someone to leave so you can find somewhere to park. It’s not best location however it’s not the worse it is LA south central lol

Wonderful rooms and staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing stay at Fourth First Place in LA! From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful and welcoming. The staff and housekeeping were truly amazing — friendly, professional, and always on top of everything. The place was spotless and well cared for, which made the stay so comfortable. What really makes this place stand out is the cool, creative room designs. Each room has its own vibe and character — stylish, modern, and fun without sacrificing comfort. You can tell a lot of intention went into the design and details. The entire experience felt personal and well-managed, not cookie-cutter at all. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Fourth First Place to anyone looking for a unique, clean, and great-energy place to stay in LA.

DO NOT STAY HERE! we were told our room would be ready at 3pm, we arrived around 3:30 and there was dirty lingerie on the bed, and dirty sheets, the room was not even cleaned yet.. our codes did not work and we had to wait for them to respond to get a new code. the host was condescending and dismissed our concerns when brought up. upon asking for a refund or discount of some sort for the inconvenience, we were offered a $40 “refund” even tho we paid triple that for one night. our stay was absolutely awful. the sheets were not changed, just a new one put over the top of the dirty one. the floors were black and so so dirty. the entire house smelled like marijuana all night, the other guests were smoking and it was coming into our room. people were stomping up and down the stairs

Where do I start with this place. They should change the name to “No sleep on 41st street” first night was freezing. I contacted management and they said thermostat is on the 3rd floor. It was set to 62 degrees. I changed it but the other tenants kept changing it back. I asked management if I could get another blanket and they said no. Second night we got woken up at 3:30am to smoke alarms going off. Opened the door and some girl had the top of the stove full of flames. The smell was horrible and we was up the rest of the night. I’m surprised the fire department didn’t show up. Third night the tenants above us decided to move furniture all night. Walls are paper thin and can hear everything. Fourth night we was greeted by LAPD. Opened our door and police was in the kitchen yelling at the t
