Foggy Bottom Cabins

Good location near Dupont State Forest and Brevard and pet-friendly, but these accommodations were mediocre at best. There were a few nice touches but our unit had maintenance issues and terrible furniture. There's not a decent chair in the place. They have some some stiff folding chairs in a closet, some unusable junk on the porch, and a lumpy sofa that folds into a bed, but for goodness sake, please put a couple of good chairs in this place. It's near a busy highway so you will hear some car noises, but otherwise the setting is pleasant and owners are friendly, but BYOC.

Megan and Khalid are wonderful and kind people. The most accommodating hosts I've ever experienced. The cabins are quiet, clean, and perfectly located for all the area has to offer. Will definitely stay with Foggy Bottom Cabins again.

The Foggy Bottom folks helped us out of a major jam when several families were temporarily displaced while their homes were being repaired after Hurricane Helene. They were so gracious and flexible. The cabins were beautiful, clean and perfectly appointed for our needs. Our folks stayed longer than expected and Khaled and Megan worked with us every step of the way. They are simply the best hosts and wonderful people. And the location is gorgeous!!

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the owners of Foggy Bottom Cabins for the incredible kindness and generosity they showed to families affected by Hurricane Helene. What we originally thought would be a short stay of a few weeks turned into several months while mobile homes were being lifted and rebuilt to meet the new floodplain requirements. These families had already gone through so much, and from the very first day to the very last, the owners of Foggy Bottom treated them with compassion and dignity. They welcomed families with thoughtful care packages that included fresh fruit, made sure the cabins remained available throughout the long recovery process, and even extended stays until homes were finally ready. I am so happy to report that Foggy Bottom Cabins provided exceptional service to six families following Hurricane Helene. We needed to find temporary housing for each family as their homes were lifted to meet county and FEMA flood plane requirements. The timing of this event was from September 2025 through January 2026, perhaps the most difficult time to book cabins in this area due to high demand from tourists seeking fall colors through the holiday season. Foggy Bottom stepped up by welcoming these families with beautiful accommodations and friendly service. We will never forget this response that made these families so comfortable despite the temporary loss of access to their homes. Khalid and Megan are great hosts who really care for their clients.
