Floyd's Motel

My husband and I just spent a few nights at Floyd’s Motel in North Myrtle Beach with our dog, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. This little family-run motel is truly a gem. The location is perfect—close to everything but still peaceful—and our room was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The managers are so friendly and welcoming, and they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s clear they take pride in the place, and it shows in every detail. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy, dog-friendly spot with great people and a great location, we highly recommend Floyd’s Motel! We’ll definitely be back.

. We spent the month of October in a nicely renovated room. It’s not a fancy high-rise, just a clean, comfortable place. We were in a two double bed in the front, bathroom in the middle, eat-in kitchen (plus this room has another bedroom with 2 doubles and 1/2 bath off the kitchen). This place is centrally located, across from the beach, a block off the main drag & right off 17. Very walkable. Perfect location. We enjoyed have a yard to walk around. Yes, an actual yard is around the motel instead of asphalt & concrete!. Floyd’s is a left-over from days gone by. We always stayed in beach motels like this when I was a kid (mama said we needed room to run!) and it reminds me of this. While surrounded by high-rises, this is an Hidden gem in a perfect location. We LOVE Floyd’s! It is the perfect size for two people and can accommodate four in the room we stayed in. The kitchen area was great for family board game night and a little cooking. The kitchenware does need some updating, so bring your own skillets/pots if you plan on cooking a lot. Otherwise, there are plenty of plates and cups, utensils, etc. The beds were a lot more comfortable and must have been updated since our last visit. They were very comfy! The shower had great hot water and pressure, very important after a day playing on the beach, which is only just a short walk away across the street. One of my favorite things about Floyd’s is being able to sit in a rocking chair on the front porch during a summertime thunderstorm.

We had such a great time! The manager Garrett and Corey were very attentive to our needs. Floyd's is truly about family, it's not just checking you in and that's it. They put in 110% into everything and this is only our 1st time staying. We can say this is where we belong and will be doing so for many years to come. Thank you Mary & Toby ❤️
