Flanders Bay Cabins

The cabins at Flanders Bay were more than we imagined! From the moment we pulled up, we knew we had gotten lucky with our choice. The cabins were absolutely adorable and the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. The location couldn’t be better—so close to Schoodic Peninsula and still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. Being pet-friendly was a huge plus for us, and we loved being able to enjoy the trip with our dogs. Their on-site BBQ restaurant was out of this world! The food was delicious, portions generous, and it was a fantastic value. Having that right on the property made our stay even better. We’re already talking about our next trip back. Highly recommend Kelly’s Cabins for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and a great location in Downeast Maine!

We rented the chalet for 4 nights, and had a wonderful time. We had 4 adults and 2 small children. The kitchen is well stocked with tableware and cookware. It's truly a charming place. We cooked out on the charcoal grill, had a fire. REALLY enjoyed the view. Even on a rainy day it was gorgeous. We appreciated finding the wooden blocks for the baby and DVDs in the closet for said rainy day..... A peaceful property that is well maintained and clearly a labor of love for the owners, who are so nice and accommodating! If you're staying over the weekend, don't skip out on the Flanders Bay BBQ! Wow! We did the sample platter, it was great and now we're all going to try to smoke a ham for Christmas 😂. It's a great location to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the bar harbor area

Nice area (although traffic from the road is loud) but the cabins are mediocre at best. Kelly was very accommodating and friendly. The beds are quite old and there are cobwebs in the cabins. It’s good if you’re just looking for a rustic unpretentious place to sleep, but quite small and not the best kept. The best part was definitely the property and beauty in the area. Depending on traffic can take 45min to hour to get to Acadia. There’s no AC or heat so be prepared to deal with that fluctuation as well.

I visited last summer and am back this summer for another trip. The property is extremely peaceful. You can start your day with a cup of coffee overlooking Flanders Bay with Cadillac Mountain in the distance. There are grills to make dinner and bonfire pits for s’mores! Such a fantastic place to unplug. The family that owns and runs the cabins is also super friendly and helpful with giving recommendations on sight seeing and hiking. Will be returning again next year!

Our family spent a week in the Shorefront House! 6 adults and 2 children. It was spectacular! Right on the waters edge facing Cadillac Mt. in Acadia National Park! Plenty of room, kitchen complete with big pots for boiling lobsters, fire pit for roasting marshmallows, an old piano to play some tunes, puzzles, toys for our grandsons, books, you name it! Not only did we buy steamer clams from a local clammer on the shore , but had terrific BBQ dinner at Flanders Bay BBQ restaurant right on site! We truly appreciate the wonderful accommodations and time spent at your wonderful establishment!
