Flamingo Inn

This place is simply amazing. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room I stayed in was clean, and the AC worked perfectly. The manager is professional and caring. My son and I felt at home, rather than in an Inn. Besides spending time with my son, the staff, especially the manager, made my experience one of the best I've had so far this entire year. Thank you.

This area sustained a lot of damage from a hurricane 2.5 years ago. The lower level of the hotel is still gutted. There a 3 rooms which are very clean and nicely decorated. Our room had no chairs in it. The only seating was outside on the deck. The beach access is very close and there is a nice view of the ocean from the deck. However, there is a lot of debris still around due to the hurricane and a lot of construction going on. There is one huge drawback related to this area: TRAFFIC. It’s terrible and there is only one road in and out on the island. So from about 3:30 pm until 7 pm every day the road is a parking lot. It would take 2 hours to drive the 3 miles north to nearby restaurants and bars. The Flamingo inn rooms were nice and beach location great, but because of the traffic issue

Great little Inn on the beach side of the road. Clean rooms very comfortable, can see beach from balcony. Still a lot of construction surrounding hotel from the 3 hurriances..mainly Ian. Traffic getting off the island from 3 to 8 is a stands still. Getting on the island at that time no issue. So go shopping or tour FT myers , bonita springs Naples and then come back from the sunset. Or just stay at the beach! Love the old Florida feel of the place. Half of hotel still not back from Ian yet.

Positive: Location Negative: There is no staff on site. The grounds are still covered in debris two years after the hurricane. Traffic is terrible on the island.

Great little motel! Very good value for the price! Had availabilities for a last minute vacation. Our room (104) was tiny and basic but was perfect for our needs since we spent most of the time on the beach less than 5 minutes away by foot. Has little beach chairs and styrofoam coolers for use which we availed ourselves of. Only sour note was the shower which was missing the ledge to put soap on and its faucet handle didn't work properly.
