Finch Guest House

Christine provides a lovely stay for guests at her beautiful home. She is a gracious hostess who has thought of every detail for your comfort. The grounds are beautiful, and we were going to take a family photo, but the weather did not cooperate. Next time we will. She is knowledgeable, and is finely tuned to her guest's vibe. What a perfect way to visit with relatives and have a peaceful retreat.

Finch House is beautiful and Christine is a wonderful gracious, accommodating host. Having grown up on the adjacent street it is like going home every visit, and the fond memories of the Candy Manor make it extra special.

What a beautifully maintained piece of history!|This guest house was recommended to us as a convenient place to stay when we needed to travel to Broadalbin to pick up a canoe we had ordered. That was indeed true, but I never expected how comfortable, clean and quiet this place would be. Even the "continental" breakfast had more options than the wording implies, including fresh fruit and baked goods. The owner, Christine, supplies many "extras" you would never expect, just in case you may have forgotten something. It was early season, so pool area was not yet open, but it looks like an wonderful place to relax. Our bed was comfortable to both of us, which isn't easy, because one likes firm and one likes soft, so this was a happy compromise. We had a very enjoyable stay here.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Finch Guest House this summer. Christine was a welcoming and gracious host and she took extra steps to ensure our comfort. She also recommended several restaurants and places to visit--it was great to have her local knowledge during our stay. We spent 3 nights with Christine and absolutely loved the location and the tranquility of Finch Guest House. We wanted to see the Baseball Hall of Fame and also take in a river rafting trip and both were an easy drive. Christine also recommended we check out Saratoga Springs, which we hadn't considered. What a lovely town! There is wonderful visitor center there with tour information--including walking architectural tours you can do on your own. Next time we will certainly visit the gorgeous racetrack as well. Fin

Very clean, quiet, and Christine was a gracious hostess. Many pleasant amenities: treats and beverages for guests in the bedroom and in dining area, variety of toiletries, attention to detail both in decor and breakfast. Nice area to walk after a long day in the car. Would definitely stay again.
