FE Warren FamCamp

July 2025 This time this Fam Camp was much more functional with full hook-ups and water restored. Guessing our visit last winter at night was the cause of some of the issues below. However, we still had to use the main gate entrance of the base to enter, then proceed straight down Randall (after the base entrance on left) to turn left much farther down onto Fam Camp Road before the sign for it, that leads you to the hilly dirt road on the right side to the check in. I really wish they had better signage to guide you to the office entrance from the main gate. This being said our visit was greatly improved so I am giving them four stars instead of the one on my prior review below. Gravel sites that are a bit close but mostly level. The bathrooms were clean and the staff friendly. Not much going on here but it is nice to have so much free space to wonder. There is a little trail nearby. The sites are Jack and Jill setup so not much space between. Feels like $40 a night was a bit much.

Not what we expected for a Military FamCamp. Sites are close and unkept, many of the trees need to be trimmed to allow for rigs to utilize the campsite within having to pull to one side of the site. There is no directions on what way to use sites so you can have a “buddy” site right out your door whether you want it or not. Office is not manned on the weekends and preferred way they want to communicate after hours is thru FB. Office does have ice machine and washers and dryers at a reasonable price. FHU for $35 Good for just a night or two.

Dry camping was in a big field surrounded by wildflowers. There are a couple of cabins to rent also that look nice under big shady trees. The restrooms/showers were standard, not great, not awful. Clean enough for camping! Very nice fam camp, will camp here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights for Cheyenne frontier days. Note that the price of the campsite is doubled during the 2 weeks of Cheyenne frontier days. The booking opens on their website 30 days in advance (though I was actually able to book at 31 days in advance). Read through the website as it has a lot of helpful information such as campground map that is color coded by space length, directions, access, and more. Note you do have to have access to base to be able to access the campground. There are two entrances to the campground, one that goes underneath a railroad bridge (low clearance, but fine for the height of a regular vehicle), and an entrance from missile drive which they encourage for any taller campers/trailers.
