FamCamp #2

I am enjoying the time that I am spending at FamCamp #2. I miss the beauty and character that exists in FamCamp #1, such as the two fishing ponds (catch and release), the picnic pavilions, washing facilities and the forest area, but the area is still as clean and quiet with a charm of its own that is unique to a state on the plains. The area is for RV/campers. I am renting an on-site camper, along with a spot for $45 a day (with 10% off when a guest stays 30 days or more). The cost is less than renting Outdoor Recreation's smallest camper, with a spot that has hookups. I am thankful to Outdoor Recreation for sharing the information with me after being a guest earlier this year. 😄

We reserved a space, was charged immediately.Arrived at fam camp 1, space was taken. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Apparently gave our spot to someone staying longer than us. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Next morning was told our names were crossed out on list, then was told space was doubled booked. I'm sure base commander will be thrilled to know how COMBAT DISABLED VETERAN RETIREES are being treated.

Stationed here in the 90s and played ⛳️ wich is now gone! Spots are simple and gets the job done for a short stay. Power went out but CE was on the money and fixed quickly. Picnic tables behind each spot and you can't beat the price. Saw family and old friends.. Will be back

I’m detracting one star because the pad is too narrow and is not flared. They could have added just a little bit of concrete and that would have made a huge difference. The showers/bathroom are not ideal for walking to, so you’ll want to drive to them. Stay at site #2 if possible as those are pull-through and showers are nearby with a nice lake view.

Nice and clean. FamCamp #2 is really tight for large RV's. Especially 5th wheels where you parking your tow vehicle seemly is out in the road. I never had anyone hit my vehicle...but I think about it a lot. 🤔. An additional area by the sites would be awesome. Thanks! We always enjoy our stay at McConnell!
