Fall Creek Falls Golf Course (TN Golf Trail)

Truth be told I love this course, but we book a tee time on a cold morning. They ended up up calling to let us know that they wouldnt let anybody on the golf course about 15 minutes before our round started at 9 am. We drove 1.5 hours to get there, and I really wish they had called us before we made the trip.

When it comes to golf courses that are accessible to the public in Tennessee, the Tennessee State Parks have some of the most challenging and picturesque courses in the state. Jack Nicklaus helped put the State Parks on the map when he put together the Bear Trace. Nicklaus originally built 5 Bear Trace courses; three of them are still owned, operated, and maintained by Tennessee State Parks. However, as nice as the three Bear Trace courses are, the other six courses in the Tennessee Golf Trail are also excellent. One of these is Fall Creek Falls. Great 18-hole golf course! ⛳️ The course opened in 1972 and was designed by renowned designer Joe Lee. Fun Fact: The golf course has been designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. All nine of Tennessee State Park’s Golf Trail courses are Audubon Certified. Fall Creek Falls golf course has also been recognized as one of the country’s Top 100 Public Places to play by golf digest.

Awesome course, in excellent condition. Stop and get a fried Bologna sandwich at the clubhouse you won't regret it...

Played 9/29/25, the course overall was in very good shape. Only issue, the bunkers, which were unraked and hard pan, almost impossible to play out of. There are 70 well placed bunkers, not being maintained is a problem.
