Fairweather Inn

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairweather Inn! Our room had 2 double beds and there was a door down the hall that we could enter and exit without coming through the lobby door. Many of the rooms were not booked during our stay so we got to see several of the rooms on the 1st and second floors. The bed was comfortable. It was so nice having 4 pillows on each bed. The shower was hot and it was nice to have a bathroom in our room. The strange thing is we heard loud footsteps above our room that sounded like boots dropping on the floor. There were also people walking up and down the halls and we heard a woman laughing. This was all about 2am and our daughter was even going to go see what was going on. Wonderful stay in an old hotel! We attended the Brewery Follies and wanted to stay in town after the show. Fairweather is the option! |Had a room with a private bathroom upstairs. Air conditioning in the room was MUCH appreciated! |Bed and pillows were very comfy! |Front desk staff was very knowledgeable, shared lots of info about the hotel, city, area. |Good WiFi||These should NOT detract from the hotel, (remember, it’s an old hotel!!) just things for future guests to note:|-stairs going upstairs are STEEP! |-rooms are small! Two suitcases took up the floor space and only one outlet we could reach/use|-we could hear people in the hallways, outside noise, etc. nothing extreme, just something to keep in mind

The history associated with this place is amazing and full of historic significance! We stayed in one of their cabins, but the hotel was furnished with awesome periodical pieces! Great place and friendly staff

We stayed in the most haunted room there but didn't see anything. Absolutely loved the room and can't wait to stay there again!

We loved staying in this very quaint and perfect historic in we stayed in room number one and it was beautiful the bed was comfortable and all the amenities were great! the coffee was exceptional but most exceptional were the ladies that run the inn they were very pleasant and friendly and helpful they turn the porch lights off at night so we could sleep better they kept all the ghost away and recommended the star bakery in Nevada city for a great breakfast it’s conveniently located right across the street from the steakhouse would highly recommend if you’re visiting Virginia City you book a room at this fabulous historic Inn
