Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Peoria East

Pros- The location of the property is very convenient to everything that you need. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, convenience stores, etc. The Peoria Civic Center is only about 15 minutes away as well. There was plenty of parking and the lot was well lit at night. The breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast.....Danish, sausage and biscuits, eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit (wasn't so fresh though) and juice. Cons- The hotel could use some cleaning, maintenance and a face-lift on some outdated things. I don't expect to see mold in the shower at a Marriott. The carpet was stained and there was an elevator out of service too. Customer service and friendliness is more than lacking at the hotel. We had a last-minute need for a hotel stay for a sports event. To start, the staff was amazing. Very friendly and professional. The room and entire facility was nice and clean. Breakfast was included and there were a variety of items to choose from. I would highly recommend this facility and would definitely stay at this facility again. I did not have one bad experience there. Thank you so much for making our stay a pleasurable one!

Fairfield has been a great experience for my 2 times staying here. Quick and friendly check-in, quiet halls and good free breakfast with eggs, bacon, delicious muffins, juice, yogurt and even make your own waffles. It is within a mile of Target and other local restaurants and businesses.

My family and I had booked a room for a night in late July of 2025 on the 4th day our 6 day cross country move from the west coast to the east coast. As soon as we walked in we noticed a musty smell in the lobby but we kept our hopes up because the staff were welcoming. This would prove to be a mistake. As soon as we entered our room we noticed a similar musty smell but much greater and also saw quite visible mold on the walls and ceiling as well as damp bedding and a sub par that had been kept off allowing the room to heat up into the 90 degree range. I had not been feeling well at the time and walking into that room immediately made me feel worse. The staff allowed us to look at 3 other rooms but all were in similar condition.
