Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Minneapolis Downtown

Stayed at the Fairfield Inn Minneapolis Downtown a few days ago. The rooms are OK. However, two things negatively impacted our stay:|-The breakfast buffet was awful. The English Muffins had visible mold on them and the eggs may have been past their prime and may have caused some digestive issues. |-The hotel parking lot is dirty, disorganized and we saw several cars occupied with drug deals going on in them. The lot is shared with another hotel and is also rented as a public parking lot. I did not feel safe parking my car there. For $25/night the hotel must do better than this.

Positive: Clean Negative: 25 dollars a night for parking and they gave me a ticket they did resolve it. Just annoying that I had to pay for parking n wasn’t told so

I have yet to be checked into my room yet but based on the experience that I'm currently having I'm giving this place a one. It's my first day off in a week so I flew back home to spend my day off here. I booked myself a suite. When going toi check in I was informed that they don't accept tap to pay for deposit. I travel 75% of my year for work and this has never been an issue at any other Marriot property that I've stayed at. This meant I had to call a friend who lives an hour outside of the city to drive down so that he could put his card down for the room. Meaning he will have to drive 2 hrs on his day off to help me. I'm reimbursing him for gas. This has been extremely embarrassing time consuming and costing me extra money. Had I not booked 3rd party I would just cancel my reservation

The hotel was very nice and clean. I appreciated the parking in the back of the hotel and not a ramp. The ladies that work the front desk. Michelle and Nita are very helpful and a joy to encounter. They put out breakfast a little bit earlier knowing that we had to leave before breakfast hours. That was very kind of them. Cantrell made it possible to ship my daughter's forgot an item.

Rooms seemed a bit small, but still nice and good for one night. The bathroom was spacious, and the front desk staff was friendly.
