Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Memphis Marion, AR

I love this hotel for its location as a halfway stop on several trips. But as a Bonvoy member, I expected a little bit different treatment like free water, etc. We also ended up having to change rooms because the lock to the first room we were given did not work three floors up. We ended up back on the first floor, where it was fairly noisy after requesting a quiet room. The staff is always helpful just not really sure what was going on.

We booked a room with two doubles and even checked in online the day before. Yet when we arrived at 10:30pm, we were given the very last room available — the one with a broken air conditioner. Despite being set to 66, the room temperature was 84 degrees. We were moved to a king room on the first floor directly across from the breakfast kitchen. Thankfully, the rest of our party’s flight was delayed until the next night, otherwise three of us would have been squeezed into that single king bed. The next morning before leaving for a funeral, we had to pack up again and move into a double room, which was what we had originally reserved. ||As Lifetime Platinum members, it was especially frustrating to be told multiple times, “well, you booked with points.” Does that mean loyal Marriott members

Positive: Location Negative: Small room. Breakfast did not meet expectations. Slow to refill coffee. Leaky bathtub.

This hotel will not have my business. My husband and I had booked this hotel for our trip for New Years. We had Googled “pet friendly hotels with indoor pool near Memphis, TN”. When doing so, this hotel showed up. I had booked it thinking it was pet friendly as googled had said. When 40 minutes away from the hotel, I had called and asked what the total of the stay was with pet fees and fees added. ( Mind you, the hotel room was already paid for prior- we were just going to pay what left we owed). When asked, the front desk worker said they were not pet friendly and I explained the situation to him. He contacted the owner and the owner told the worker that because we had gotten that they were pet friendly from a different source and not from their site, he was going to keep our money and r

Staff was very kind and friendly. We stopped right after a huge ice storm. The parking lot was full of cherry pickers and large ice "pot holes". It was like driving off road, but in a fun way. The breakfast was good. Plenty of food even after all the linemen ate.
