Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Marion

We’re on my daughters Make A Wish trip and after driving almost 500 miles (and still 918 miles from the Wish destination!!) we were all tired. The older gentleman who checked us in was extremely kind and helpful! 10/10 for customer service here. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the TV is a good size. Fridge and microwave are always an excellent thing to have and we have both! The pool was super cold and heavily chlorinated but the kids didn’t mind too much. The hot tub was a great temp, but could use some updating desperately. Overall it’s been a great stay!

Friendly staff and management. Nice spacious breakfast area. Decent variety. Small but generally clean room. Cozy bed. Plenty of lighting! Hotel did have an odd smell. Mold in bath.No daily housekeeping.

We enjoyed our short stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They answered questions we had about the local area which was so helpful. The hotel was very clean and tidy. We appreciated the clean room and bathroom, newer towels and linens, and a good shower. There was plenty of space in the room. The breakfast offerings were good. Even though it was crowded the food options remained stocked and the area was constently cleaned. With my daughter attending college in the area, we will make this our home away from home when we come to visit her.

Such an odd experience. Clean enough. Typical, basic Fairfield. Close to highway, good for a quick stopover. Came down to lobby for an early coffee, so as to not disturb others in room. At this point, an employee showed up (assume starting shift)….and just kind of took over the lobby. Turned the TV WAY up, so they could hear it from behind the front desk. To the point it was uncomfortable to stay. Completely oblivious to the multiple folks already sitting there (who are paying to be there). Just odd.

A little threadbare but very adequate and clean room where you don't hesitate to take off your shoes and socks. It's a 4 star due to the breakfast. They have a waffle machine but that's it for warm breakfast items. Except for coffee, I didn't bother with it.
