Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lincoln Crete

We were traveling on a road trip, traveling through Nebraska. Crete was not far from route. I booked the hotel in advance, knowing it was a Friday night. Check in was easy. We arrive at our room, and I notice we have no view, we were directly above the roof for the entrance. I walked in the bathroom and noticed how the shower glass had soap scum on the inside and outside of the glass. The towels were folded haphazardly and did not really smell clean. They didn't smell used, but not clean either. The bed was made haphazardly. I was completely disappointed. I was charged the double price for the room, which I was OK knowing it was a weekend, also found out there was a Michigan vs Nebraska game. But paying that price I expected more. Very unprofessional receptionist! when i walked a girl with the name tag KARA she was Sitting in the lobby with her feet, popped up on the table. Took A while to notice me. I had a simple question. If my package had arrived. She said that there was nothing there for me I then, proceed to ask when the deliveries are made and and she replied, rudely “ that when your package gets here it gets here”. I also noticed that she’s always on FaceTime. I’m not sure with who, but I think it’s her boyfriend.

Positive: Location Negative: HVAC unit making a loud noise, tough to sleep but got through it.

Mid-May, 1 night. This is a nice Fairfield Inn and newer, too - built around 2021. It's surrounded by farmland and open space but within a quick walk to a nearby SuperWalmart and a Medical Center. There's a pleasant walking path directly across the side road. Many thanks to the front desk - they're very accommodating. The highway below is busy but the hotel is on a hill and far enough away not to hear road noise.

Great hotel for the location! Breakfast, Good coffee, lots of free weights in the gym, pool. Large TV in the room. Very satisfied with my long stay
