FAIRBRIDGE INN EXPRESS

Unfortunately my husband was transferred unexpectedly to Westchester Medical Center. We (my grown son and I) didn't have a lot of money but it was important to us to be close by. We were able to book the Fairbridge Inn in Nyack on a more or less night by night basis for a reasonable rate. The place was very clean, the staff was very kind and there was a great diner right next door. I would stay there again were the need to arise.

I should have known what I was getting myself into the moment I walked in and saw the bullet-proof glass. Asha at the front desk was the only bright spot of this stay. The door to the room was hanging so far off its hinge that it rubbed against the door frame. The room itself was dark and dingy. There were hairs on the bed, the coffee maker was absolutely disgusting, and the heating unit blasted cold air for several minutes before eventually producing heat. This continued throughout the entire night. I assumed it would at least be quiet, considering it was a Sunday night. I was wrong. Between the loud music, fire trucks, and the constantly cycling heating unit, sleep was not possible. I could not leave because my wife is disabled, had endured a long day of travel, and was unable to move

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. I wanted to give my very honest opinion because some of the reviews mislead me. I want to start off by saying my husband, toddler, mom and myself stood over this past weekend. The pictures are NOT what the hotel looks like anymore, and definitely not for the price we paid; but it was the cheapest hotel in the area. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice though and that’s all I can say. The first room they gave us smelled HORRIBLE! Like pure cigar, even though it is a non smoking hotel. We had to ask to have the room changed, my husband is extremely asthmatic and I was not going to expose my 4 year old and mom to that. It’s a no frills hotel which is clean, comfy in a good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast is pretty basic but does the job.

Rooms are very pretty , the outside looks deceiving cus it looks like it would be run down but the inside is beautiful. I’m glad I came here , I will be using the hotel every time i come to Nyack for travel . Price was very fair and the check in guy was very sweet and nice even though we had a line cus it was busy hour he was such a gentleman and checked everyone in with kindness. There is spacious parking too .
