Extended Stay America Suites- Chicago - Vernon Hills - Lake Forest

It all starts at the top. Crystal (mgr) and her staff are second to none. Honestly. During unfortunate circumstances that led me to the Extended Stay in Vernon Hills I was greeted by Crystal. It's clear that she has surrounded herself with the right combination of staff to make every day comfortable and hospitable. As a business owner myself I appreciate the hotel and it's supporting cast. Very Professional, honest and caring. Do Not Overlook this hotel if you have plans on staying in the area. Hi there, My stay here has been nothing short of special and felt like staying at home. I had everything I needed. The staff Rafael, Michelle.... all of the Night Shift staff has been nothing short of incredible! Even Leo and Krystal have made it so incredible, it breaks my heart to leave. I have actually loved being here. You would be lucky to stay at this extended stay!

Positive: Location, having a kitchen, good at replacing towels, but you had to go to front desk to return wet ones to get clean ones. Negative: Room was in disrepair. (Countertop falling apart, large chips on enamel on refrigerator and microwave) Not totally clean. Layout was weird with the way bathroom door opened and it blocked the path into the room and it wouldn’t stay all the way open.

This extended stay America is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re looking for a bed for one night, and nothing else, this place would be serviceable for your needs. WiFi is terrible (even with upgraded speed, wifi doesn’t reach the second floor effectively). This hotel has none of the amenities that any local hotel has. No gym, pool, breakfast (other than mini muffins and a coffee machine). Also, the staff is nice but clearly don’t care about complaints. I had several female coworkers also staying at this hotel who were harassed, and the general clientele of this hotel made several of us find other accommodations. The only benefit to this hotel is its cheaper general price for longer stays, but you get what you pay for.

This is by far the best location. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly and knowledgeable to accommodate for anything you need. The rooms and lobby area are always kept very clean. A very nice and welcoming place to stay.
