Executive Inn & Suites Gilmer, TX

This was a very Nice hotel, pretty much clean and not a lot of noise. But upon registering for this room, I asked for a lower lover room, and the lady rudely told me she had no lower level rooms. I would have to go upstairs then I realize she put me in a room that was off around the corner upstairs in the dark with me being in this small town I’m figuring she was racist and I guess this is the rooms they put the Black people in Other than that, I had no issues.

We lost our heater during a snow and ice storm. I called and they gave me a big warm room, comfy bed..lots of warm covers. Room was very clean as well.

First off, I have to say that we travel a lot & I do lots of reviews. If you check, I am generally very positive & even if a hotel has a few negatives, there are usually positives to make it work. Now read on. Most of my relatives live in Gilmer. We had stayed at this hotel 10 years ago for my parents 60th anniversary. It was pretty bad then, but for this visit, it was awful. We were there for my Dad's funeral so not in a pleasant mood to begin with, but by the time we spent one night, I was disgusted. First we had asked for a King room. There was not one available, so they put us in a double which was $15 a day more expensive! An exorbitant amount for the quality of the room. Complained & they said they would give us a discount for one day, but we'd have to come in the next morn

When searching for a top-notch place to stay, the Executive Inn in Gilmer, Texas, is an excellent choice. The staff is superb and committed to ensuring your stay is delightful. The Housekeeping crew is truly exceptional. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. I had a wonderful stay at the Executive and I am sure you will as well.

This hotel is convenient if you have business in Gilmer, Texas and the staff are East Texas cordial. The peanut brittle they sell on behalf of the local church is delicious! Beyond that, there is not much to brag about. The beds are amongst the hardest I've ever slept on and the building/rooms need to be remodeled/upgraded. On our last stay, one of our family members had a toilet overflow. The owner/front desk staff had no urgency in taking care of the issue. They never showed up the night of the incidence. They waited until the next morning to take care of the problem. Though we have stayed at this hotel for years when we are in the area visiting family, we all agreed this would be the last time. Though less convenient, we will drive a little further for the service and comfort we desir
